01 — THE SITUATION
What was not working, before us.
Internal rules banned every AI tool. The reason was not technical: article 321 of the Swiss criminal code makes breaching professional secrecy an offence, and no partner wanted to carry that liability for a productivity gain.
The ban held on paper. It did not hold in practice: searching ten years of archives was still manual, and junior staff used consumer tools for seemingly harmless tasks.
02 — THE DECISION
What was chosen, and why.
What moved the firm was not a contractual promise but a property of the architecture: content cannot leave because no path takes it out. A confidentiality undertaking can be breached; a machine with no outbound path cannot be breached by accident.
A Numezis 1 is enough: twelve partners and about twenty staff, search and drafting, no training. The configuration was sized on peak usage, not on headcount.

03 — WHAT REMAINS TO BE PROVEN

Anonymised case. Organisations are not named, as no publication agreement has been signed. No measured outcome is published until it exists.
- The purchase decision itself: to date the firm has seen a demonstration on its own documents, nothing more.
- Validation of the arrangement by the firm's counsel under art. 321 SCC.
- Actual time saved on archive search, which will only be measurable after six months.
